Drone-Borne Geophysical Surveys: From Gas Leaks to WWII Bombs. SPH Engineering at DJI Enterprise Day 2026

October 2, 2026
Grand Hall, Lorem Convention Center

From detecting decades-old unexploded ordnance beneath the ground to identifying methane leaks from the air, drones are transforming how industrial surveys are carried out. On 2 October 2026, SPH Engineering will join DJI Enterprise Day in Budapest to showcase how drone-based geophysics brings sensing technologies to land, water, and aerial applications.

How does a drone find a hidden gas leak, or a bomb that has been buried for decades? That's one of the questions we'll answer on 2 October 2026 in Budapest, at DJI Enterprise Day, hosted at the Continental Golfclub.

The event, organized by HRP Europe, combines expert insights into the latest trends and real-world applications of industrial drone technology with live drone demonstrations. SPH Engineering will join the program as a speaker.

Geophysics on a drone

Zsuzsanna Bihari, Sales Manager at SPH Engineering, will present "Geophysics on a Drone: From Gas Leaks to WWII Bombs. Industrial Surveys on Land, on Water and in the Air". The talk covers what drone-mounted geophysical sensors can do:

  • On land: magnetometers for UXO detection, and ground-penetrating radar (GPR) for mapping utilities and subsurface layers.
  • On water: echosounders and side-scan sonar for bathymetry and underwater search.
  • In the air: methane detectors for finding gas leaks along pipelines and industrial sites.

See you on 2 October at the Continental Golfclub!
